Laia Sanz has been riding well in the Dakar Rally, however the KTM factory rider, who was riding between positions 11-14 right through the first 400 km, showed true sportsmanship and stopped to assist the injured Pela Rene - eventually finishing the stage 42.36 minutes off the winning time.

Unfortunately Renet's Dakar is now over as the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna's rookie came to an abrupt end on the fourth stage and was forced to retire through injury.
