With a new victory, Toni Bou confirms he is in good shape andincreases his advantage as leader.

Salou (Tarragona), 25.03.2007. - Toni Bou (Montesa-HRC Cota 4RT)increased his advantage as leader of the Spanish Trial Championshipafter winning the second scoring event, held this Sunday. TheRepsol-Montesa HRC rider again displayed his good shape from the firstlap, despite the failure in zone 13, broken by the precedingparticipant, which impeded him from ending as leader alone. In thesecond lap, Toni Bou made an impeccable performance, without a singlepenalty point.

Takahisa Fujinami (Montesa-HRC Cota 4RT) finished third aftercorrecting, in a brilliant second lap, some of the mistakes he made inthe previous lap. Dougie Lampkin (Montesa- HRC Cota 4RT) was fifth inthis last event before the beginning of the World Outdoor Championship, next Sunday. The Japanese and the British riders are third and fourthrespectively in the general classification of the Spanish Championship,a competition they do not intend to continue to the end. Laia Sanz(Montesa-HRC Cota 4RT) finished eighth in the Senior B category.

Toni Bou: I'm very satisfied with my second lap. To finishwith zero points was fantastic. In the first I made some mistakes and,in addition, I found the zone broken and in those conditions a failurewas inevitable. It's clear that we've made a good start in the outdoorde trial season, but even though everything is going well for theimminent start of the World Championship, I want to continue withcaution, and above all to continue working on the same lines as now.

Takahisa Fujinami: In the first event I commented that mystarting position possibly influenced my modest result and today hasconfirmed that I was right. The starting order was in my favour andthis time my second lap has been very convincing. I got a podiumposition and now that the world championship is about to start, it isimportant to be in leading positions.

Dougie Lampkin: Although it may seem contradictory in viewof my results, I'm quite content with how I felt on the bike. Yes, Iknow that I got a lot of points for touching the zone tapes but I thinkthat these have not been strictly riding problems. So I'm going tostart the world championship with lots of motivation and a goodfeeling.

The Spanish Trial Championship will resume on June 24th with anevent held in Pobladura de las Regueras (Len). Until then, the firstfour events of the World Championship will have been held, two of whichare double sessions. The championship starts next Sunday April 1st inMancha Real (Jan, Spain).
