'03 FIM world MX champions will be in action at the first major British motocross meeting of '04 - the Hawkstone International on March 7.Steve Ramon, Stefan Everts and Joel Smets have all agreed terms to race at the world ALL THREE '03 FIM world MX champions will be in action at the first major British motocross meeting of '04 - the Hawkstone International on March 7.Steve Ramon, Stefan Everts and Joel Smets have all agreed terms to race at the world famous Shropshire track - a truly mouth-watering prospect and a major coup for the organising Salop MC."It's getting really exciting - and that's an understatement," reckons Hawkstone PR man Lester Johnson. "We're making a massive effort to market and sell the Hawkstone International and that's something we've never really done before."The track will be revamped and so will the facilities - visitors should notice a big, big difference when they come to Hawkstone in March."Apart from the big three headliners, the entry list reads like a who's who of international MX with former world 125cc champs Mickael Maschio and Jamie Dobb signed up alongside Brian Jorgensen, Andrew McFarlane, Patrick Caps, Tyla Rattray, Ben Townley and Tanel Leok.The full CAS squad - Gordon Crockard, Jussi Vehvilainen, Yoshi Atsuta and Josh Coppins - will also be in action while Brit MX heroes including Stephen Sword, Billy MacKenzie, Paul Cooper, Tom Church, Carl Nunn and Jason Dougan will be flying the flag for Blighty.To add to the carnival atmosphere, there will be a mini funfair and freestyle demos with Sean Vukovic and Gary Taylor in action and John Pearson going for a back-flip.Tickets cost 20 with U12s admitted free of charge.o For any businesses or individuals looking for a piece of the action, sponsorship packages are still available.
