I didn't think it would be more difficult than last season but it sure is at the moment and I feel that the lads - including myself - have to post some better results.Personally, I'm fairly happy with my UK season but definitely must improve on my world results as I'm currently sixth at the moment which, as far as I'm concerned, is useless. As for the other lads, well, I guess you know! The next round will be in Spain and should suit us as I believe it to be similar to Wales - I really hope it does as for that round I've had a lot of help from many people to get me ready. As most of you know the results of the last WEC (I finished sixth and eighth) were a big no-no. There's not too much to report on that race other than my Italian mechanic thought he'd become a HRC technician overnight and made some changes to the CRF which in my eyes weren't any good. Anyway, when I confronted him I discovered it was me - as usual - who wasn't fast enough. Still, not to worry too much, we've still got six WEC races left so there's a long way to go.The second round of the Fast Eddy race series took place while I was away on holiday and I believe all went well and everybody enjoyed themselves. Putting everything together in just two weeks to make it happen was brilliant so thanks to Rob, Richard and Tony as without these three it wouldn't have happened. The track had a good mix of pretty much everything and it was great to see some MXers having a go. Talking about having a go, I'm still planning on going to the US to try a couple of races all being well - and hopefully sooner rather than later.I'm getting a bike from a dealer and that should enable me to get a bonus programme - or contingency as the Yanks would say. I've also entered the Hafren Euro round where I'll be back on the 250 two-stroke and, hopefully, it will be a good weekend for all.The next Fast Eddy will be at Ellesmere where we're hoping to have some rather large uphills for the pro/expert lads just to add some fun to the event. And we'll be having slow and fast routes again - just like Tong Hall last season.See you next month with some better WEC results!PS Congratulations to James Lassu on a great result at Donington - keep up the hard work...Words by Paul Edmondson Photo by Jonty Edmunds
