This weekend, June 24/25, round four of the BSMA National championship hits the dirt at Walterstone in Herefordshire.

In the Autos, Freddie Gardiner holds an 18-point lead over Ben Casey.

At the previous round Gardiner hit four race wins to claim the overall victory as Casey nailed the other heat win and second overall.

The battle for the crown now looks like a two-horse race between Gardiner and Casey. Harlow Green is sitting comfortably in series third.

Sharing out all the heat wins between them at round three, Ben Mustoe and Freddie Bartlett finished first and second respectively in the 65s.

The overall win for Mustoe meant it was three on the bounce for him as Bartlett moved up in to second.

There's a 57 point gap separating Mustoe and Bartlett at the top as Joey Benfield sits in third place 17 points behind.

Jak Taylor and Ethan Sills represent the leading two runners in the Small-wheels.

With a 14 point buffer, Taylor has the championship lead, although there's been very little between the outstanding pair at the previous two rounds.

Joe Brookes isn't out of the question and hopes to apply a bit more pressure on the top two.

Claiming every race win in the series so far, there's absolutely no doubt about the Big-wheel king-pin as James Hanscombe rules the roost.

Barring a calamity it would seem it's all about who's going to finish as series runner-up in this one.

Billy Duke and Ben Watkins start round four as the most likely candidates, just 5 points is the gap between them.

In the 125s Callum Beekan was the convincing round three overall winner - as he was at round one - he now has an 18 lead over Owen Woodhouse. Ryan Manley is 59 points off top spot in third as just two points separate Marshall Smith and Joseph Davies.

In the Senior Open division, a good four-way joust at the top should prove essential viewing as Ieuan Harris leads John McKenzie by just 19 points.

McKenzie was the round three overall winner, he'll be after a repeat show no doubt as third placed Corey Coombes has his series hopes alive 23 points off top.
