AMA Supercross Max Anstie Orlando

An injury update from Max Anstie has revealed he will miss Orlando 1 the fitness update comes just hours ahead of the opening Orlando Supercross round at Camping World Stadium.

"I wont be going to Orlando 1 this Saturday," Anstie said. "I have only ridden a little bit of SX in the last couple of days and will need a few solid days (at least) under my belt before I get into racing."

Anstie who is signed with HEP Twisted Tea Suzuki was set to make his 450SX debut at the start of the 2021 AMA Supercross season last month but a practice crash just hours before the first race left the British star in the hospital with a broken bone in his back.

Max has been making good progress on his recovery since then but Orlando 1 has come a little too soon for the Suzuki pilot. "If I have a good few days coming up then the plan is to be out there and get my feet wet next weekend at Orlando 2 *fingers crossed*. Then use the two weeks before Daytona to get up to speed and close to 100 per cent.

"Im at four weeks since my crash, doing all I can and making steps forward every day."

We'll keep you updated on Anstie's injury status as we get closer to the second Orlando round.

Update February 17, 10:25 GMT: Max Anstie has arrived at Camping World Stadium and it looks like he is over his injury problems and is finally ready to make his 450SX AMA Supercross debut on February 20 at Orlando 2.
