Having established the brand within the Electric Market over the last five years, the design team at the North Barcelona based Mecatecno Factory are working extremely hard on the new models.

Both T17 and T18 "Dragonfly” machines now in their fifth form of preproduction, but not quite ready to display, the decision has been made with the UK Importer Caroline Sandiford not exhibit at the 2016 Dirt Bike Show.

Caroline Sandiford, Mecatecno UK, said "We've put pressure on ourselves over the last few years to have something ”new” for each up and coming Show. This machine development all falls entirely to Mecatecno CEO Jordi Mila and this year we really aren't quite ready. We need the bikes to be absolutely finished / tested and developed before we launch to market. The T17 - our intermediate bike with a 19” /17” wheel combination and the T18 the full size 21” / 18” model will both be "Dragonfly” models heralding to the history of the brand. They are truly outstanding and once launched will without doubt revolutionise the Electric Trials Market. Lightweight, incredible power output and Trials geometry which is technically perfect.”

Jordi Mila said "I care about Mecatecno and I care about Trial. Our bikes will not be comparable to any other relevant model. Caroline and I have made the decision to miss the Dirt Bike Show this year. We have stock of our current models rolling off the production line in the next weeks. We are focussed and that is now so important to continue the brand expansion”.

"Stock will be in the UK of T8, T12 and T14 models commencing week 45 (mid November) and a subsequent batch again before Christmas. Added Caroline " Orders now being taken by the Dealer Network and further information on the new models in the not too distant future with a European Press "unveiling” and launch planned. I'm so positive about the future, Jordi and I have a complete passion for this brand. After decades of being involved in Trials and Importership I didn't think anything could surprise me development wise, but Jordi's foresight with these new models has taken my breath away.  The combination of a Designer by profession as well as a high level rider/competitor is clearly unrivalled.”

We'll be back at the Dirt Bike Show next year – bigger and better.
