Trials

Castle Colchester MCC get the ACU National Championship season underway on Sunday, February 3 just three weeks away when their Phil King East Anglian Trial represents the opening round of the nine round Normandale Masters series.

This age-related series caters primarily for riders aged Over 40, Over 50 and Over 60 but there are seven classes in total for Air-cooled Mono, Twinshock, Pre-65 and Open classes on the Hard and Normal routes. Over 40s also compete over the Hard route.

The trials do include roadwork and events comprise one or two laps taking in around 20 miles of roads, tracks, fields and/or or fells and include some well-known and long-established Nationals.

Staring with the Phil King the series takes place throughout the year, taking a break through the summer months of July August and September before finishing strongly with three events in October including a cracking weekend double in Devon with the famous West of England and Otter Vale Presidents trials.

So come on and get yourself organised for the Castle Colchester opener. The Phil King will start at New Wood, Pebmarsh, Nr Halstead, CO9 2NR at 9.30am. Entries are via the ACU online entry system only but if you have any queries your club contact is Richard Norman on 078414-93135.
