SSDT Start Scrapped Because Of Flooding

Trials

The Scottish Six Days Trial didn't get away to the best of starts when, after heavy overnight rain, the river at Nevis Range was flooded and the officials had no choice but to scrap opening group, the six sections at Leanachen.

The Clerk of the Course was working overtime getting round the route to check on all other groups as all the rivers will be flooding. Ironically, as Leanachen was declared no-go the rain was clearing-up!

It will now all be down to the weather - with heavy rain forecast - what happens at the final group at Lagnaha.

Last year's winner, Vertigo team boss Dougie Lampkin is an early starter today at number 25 as he looks to take what would be an amazing 10th victory - at the age of 40.
