Rising British trials star Toby Martyn has signed a two-year deal to ride for the Beta factory racing team.

The 18-year-old from Cornwall finished second in the Trial2 class of this years FIM Trial World Championship and last month ended James Dabills chances of a perfect British Trials Championship season at the penultimate round of the series.

Martyn rode the Italian machines throughout a successful schoolboy career that netted him British A and B Class titles along with a European youth crown.

I am very happy to be riding for the factory Beta team for the following two years, said Martyn. It is going to be a pleasure to be part of such a professional team which will help me try to make my WTC dream come true. Thank you to everybody who has supported me this year. I am now excited to work towards the 2019 season.

Next year he will remain in the Trial2 class as part of the official Beta team as he looks to gain more experience on the world stage. He plans to spend the winter riding in Spain and Italy and will contest the 2019 Spanish national championship along with selected events in Britain and Italy.

It will be great to have Toby back on a Beta next year, said UK Beta importer John Lampkin. He is one of the top young riders in the world and we are looking forward to working with him as he is a very talented young rider and works incredibly hard at his riding both on and off the bike.

Beta are focussed on working with young riders and Toby will be a big part of their future plans.
