THE final countdown is now definitely on for the British round of the World Trials Championship.

It takes place this year at a NEW venue for the event at Parkwood Off Road Centre, Tong, Bradford, Yorkshire, on the weekend of July 16-17.

A compact course of just 2km in length is hyper spectator friendly with the sections already completed and grouped in three areas.

There are five right by the start, four in the waterfall area and three in between.

This offers excellent viewing and with three laps you can see all 12 sections in a day easily.

There are two full days of world championship action and as well as the men don't forget that for the very first time we host the opening round of the 2016 Women's World Trial Championship.

There's an excellent entry so far of 25 Ladies headed by reigning World Champ Emma Bristow on the factory Sherco.

Former British Champ Becky Cook isn't on the official entry list just yet but her TRS sponsor Steve Saunders assures us that Becky will be on the start line.

Other British girls up for the challenge are Donna Fox, Jess Bown, Jennifer Stephen and sisters Louise and Catherine Alford.

In the men's contest you of course get your chance to see nine times and reigning champ Toni Bou aim for his tenth title on the awesome factory Repsol Honda while Adam Raga does his best to foil him.

For British fans there's the chance to support local Yorkshire boy James Dabill.

The factory Vertigo ace and British Champ has already scored two third place rides this season and a home podium is definitely on the cards.

In Trial2 the Brits are running riot and none more so than runaway series leader Jack Price.

Like Dibs, Jack is a Yorkshire boy and riding out of his skin.

There's every chance that Jack can tie-up the Trial2 crown at Tong so why would you not be there.

Iwan Roberts and Dan Peace are also flying high and between them a clean sweep on the podium is well achieveable.

The Trial125 crown could also be going the way of another Yorkie, with Jack Peace now firm favourite to nail that honour.

There's on-site camping from Thursday and a huge trade village including Electric Motion, Inch Perfect, Gas Gas, Acklams Beta, Craigs Montesa, Mojo, Putoline, Road and Trial, RAS Sport, Steve Saunders TRS, Haven Trialsport  Jotagas, plus the main event sponsors Wulfsport and Oset.

There is still time to buy discounted tickets online (britishworldtrial.co.uk) until July 4, or pay on the day. Gates will open at 7.30am each day.
