Trials Torque: Lakes two-day set to make a splash

Trials

REGS are now out for one of the most popular of the Two Day National trials and that is the Lakes Two Day which this year will run on the weekend October 14/15 the week before the Scott.

The entry is limited to 180 which it usually reaches with ease. Riders note that priority is given to 70 riders on the National course so if you should be riding the National course don't opt for the Clubman option as you might not get in as the Clubman class is guaranteed to be oversubsribed.

If you haven't ridden the Lakes before it is based at the Auction Mart in Broughton in Furness, south Cumbria.

Each day will see a totally different course, one in the Bootle area taking in Fell Green and the second day based on the Broughton to Torver road.

There's a good mix of sections with rock outcrops, slippery streams and some wicked woodland. Forty sections per day ensures you get good value for money as well as a great ride out in the countryside. Start time is 9am each day.

Michael Brown won the Premier Hands Trophy last year from Iwan Roberts and Richard Sadler and there's sure to be a high class entry in the National class.

Regs and entry forms are available now on the ACU website, just click on Events.
