Blackmore Vale Trials Club - Club Trial

Bank Holiday Monday saw Blackmore Vale Trials Club in action at a brand new venue, Park Wood, a large forestry site on the Stourhead estate.
After weeks of dry weather the club was unlucky to pick the one day the heavens opened just 30 minutes before the start, leaving no time to ease the sections.
As a new venue, the event had been set out on the safe side and consequently
the results were reasonable.
On the hardest Green route, Rob Smith had a clear win from Kevin Hart.
On the White route Dave Sherlock took top spot from Jason Attwell by six marks.
The middle blue route turned out to be the hardest, where Mike Smallshaw lost 57 to head the Over 40's, while Rob Sherlock was best Clubman on 44.
Richard Knott had a good ride to take second in Youth Inters, and is hoping for his dad to have a go. The popular red route saw Dave Radford best Over 50 with the only clean ride of the day and Jamie Vincent was just behind on one at the head of the Novices, while Martin Peppard led home Martin Lovell in Twin-shock B.
Jamie Vincent's daughter Georgina was top Youth beginner, and Rob Heal the only finisher in Adult Beginner. Thanks to all helpers, observers and landowners.
The next event is Saturday June 25.
