Turkey tonic at Mendip Vale Team Trial

Regular award winner Rob Scott was best solo in the Mendip Vales annual Team Trial at Shipham, near Cheddar in Somerset on Saturday.
But MOT test Jon Bees, Richard Elliott, Rob Hill, Rob Jeffries and Andy Blacker who went home with oven-ready turkeys tucked underneath their arms for their Christmas Day tables.
The group lost a total of 141 marks in the four laps over woodland-going which also featured climbs over rocks, with a wheelie section and a balance test.

Scott was clean throughout, pulling some eye-catching wheelies and also poised confidently on the rests longer than his rivals.
Runner-up, who received poultry awards instead of the usual silverware, was local star Tom Pike, Heath Brindley, Richard Fogg, David Gollicker and Ivan Hooe who incurred a loss of 31 more than the winning squad.
