Following last month's Brampton mud fest round two of this year's BYMX series moves on to Finningley in South Yorkshire on the weekend of April 9/10.

Doncaster Motor Park with it's deep soft sandy continental style terrain is the much favoured venue, with  Hucklebridge Events at the helm.

At the opening round Scotsman Alexander Brown and Manxman Jed Etchells were an absolute class apart in the Junior 65's, and both guys will be looking to consolidate their championship advantage on what is another favourite circuit for both of them. Harry Kimber on the Twisted Seven Kawasaki will be one of the stronger tiddler class runners keen to make inroads. Kimber currently lies third in the standings followed by Colin Scott, Callum Meara and Adam Dunn.

Conrad Mewse, Jay Hague, and Sid Evans put on a super Small-wheel 85cc show in Cumbria, and the omens look good for a round two repeat. There was very little to choose between all three guys at Lower Gelt,  but Evans suffered a mechanical DNF that ultimately kept him off the podium. David Keet and Jordan Eccles lead the chasing pack, they hold third and fourth places respectively in the championship table behind Mewse and Hague. Taylor Hammal is the best of the 65cc up grades in fifth with Alfie Mountford in sixth.

In the Big-wheel 85cc section following the opening five motos KTM mounted Liam Knight and Tom Neal lead the championship way. Knight won three heats at Brampton with Neal claiming the other brace. From Nathan Dixon, Brad Todd, Jason Meara, and Robert Yates there will be an all out effort to hold what they have following a super round one show. Look out for the Honda 150F crew in the shape of Matty Callaghan, Jack Gardner and Rob Davidson as they seek an improved round two return.  Also look out for another sparkling show from Scottish pairing - Stuart Fee and Jay Lamb.

Both guys were super quick but desperately unlucky at Brampton not to feature on the end of day podium. And finally for this section if ACU academy pilot Ben Watson enters the fray at his local track you can surely expect something quite special from him.

Ryan Houghton on the HM Plant Red Bull KTM claimed four decisive heat wins at Brampton - but a broken chain first time out means he's now playing championship catch up as James Dunn leads the way. Dunn on the two stroke KTM produced quite inspirational form at Brampton but he will be missing from Finningley away on Euro duty at the UEM 125cc round in Bulgaria. Nathan Watson holds second following a commanding round one exhibition, with Houghton in third place 10 points adrift. Also watch out for Bradley Pocock on the Bike It Cosworth Wild Wolf Yamaha as he will be itching to post a good five race return that would set up his title challenge.

Finningley will also witness round two of the British Two stroke Championships where Stuart Edmonds on the TM and Luke Remmer on the Yamaha lead the way in 250cc and 125cc classes.
