A NEW KTM team was announced on Saturday, with Hubert Nagl Max's dad forming a new team together with Uwe Rommel.Riders in the MX2 GPs will be Lars Oldekamp and Valentin Guillod. "This is a unique deal as we have secured the support of both KTM Germany and KTM Switzerland as well as Scott, who were keen to increase their interest in the GPs,” explained Hubert.
"We are covered for everything by industry sponsors, and Baden Logistic, the transport firm of Andreas Lehner, comes on board as an outside sponsor.
"Lars will race the GPs and the ADAC Masters, Valentin the GPs and all Swiss Masters rounds that do not coincide with the GPs.
"Uwe and I have invested a lot of time and energy in the last three months to get the team off the ground,” he added. Both were active in Team Sturm this year, but Hubert said: "Neither of us was happy with the way the team functioned.”
The aim is to provide young talent from the two countries with the chance to enter the GPs.
"The jump from national racing to a works team is just too great, so we need to give promising youngsters a platform to show their talents and develop.”
