Normal service is resumed at WOR Events for its next action packed weekend of enduro which the club is promoting. After the hugely successful Michelin Tyres Enduro and the Kriega Tough One's Little Brother Extreme Scramble, the weekend of November 27/28 will see the club return to running a more usual format, with Race Experience Day (RED) after a gap of nearly six-weeks on Saturday November 27 followed on the Sunday by round two of WOR's Winter Hare and Hounds series. The popular RED practice and training days are perfect for riders that want valuable, safe bike time in a controlled environment, using a course of the highest standard and with a team that is second to none to ensure that all participants have a great day.
The Winter Hare and Hounds series is a four-round affair, with a rider's best three-rounds to count.
The first round was staged back in mid-October and was a cracker. The one coming up should be even better.
Using one of the forest blocks in Llandrillo forest, the course will be a seven-miles per lap affair that will utilize some of the best hard standing bits of forest. This means the weather cannot effect the
track too any great extent.
Even the car parking is cannot come under threat from the weather, unless it should snow perhaps! There will be a bit of everything that a quality forest circuit can offer and the event will have the tried and tested WOR two-race format.
Catering for B level riders, the morning race will run from 9.30 until 11.30am. The A level riders then go out for a 2.5-hour battle, starting at 12 noon.
When WOR runs at forest venues the events are always very popular and you can secure your ride in either the Saturday or the Sunday by simply going to the clubs website and entering on-line or by calling/ texting the entries hotline on 07528-008658 Non WOR members and motocross riders are most welcome.
Looking forward WOR Events has offered brief details of its programme for 2011.
The organisation plans to stage six different series for which information and a new event format will shortly be announced.
These include a four-round Hare and Hound series; two separate three-round Hare and Hound series; a four-round
Time Card Enduro series; a three-round Wednesday Evening XC series (using shorter courses); and a four-round Winter series.
Also on the schedule is the second round of the World Extreme Enduro Championship – the Tough One, on March 13 – a special two-day event at Hawkstone Park over the weekend of April 9/10 and a re-run of the successful Michelin Tyres Enduro of North Wales on October 9.
