SO you and the gang are making the pilgrimage to the Sheffield Supercross this year. Whether you are one of the 6,000 or so Supercross regulars or a first timer you probably have a few questions about this year's event. Here are some of the most asked questions and answers plus every thing else you need to know for this weekend.
Question: Where and when?
Answer: Sheffield Arena, Broughton Lane, Sheffield. Exit the M1 at the Meadowhall Shopping Centre and follow the signs to Sheffield Arena which is just minutes from the M1 motorway. Parking is available at the arena or take the Sheffield tram to Arena station.
Question: What time does it start?
Answer: The evening show starts at 7pm with doors open at 6pm. The show runs to approximately 10pm. Afternoon practice and qualifying starts at noon and runs to 4pm.
Question: How much are tickets and how do I get them?
Answer: Afternoon tickets are 12. Evening children's tickets start at 15 with Adults tickets from 25. Tickets can be bought from the Sheffield Arena box office on 0114 256 5656 or in person at the arena box office.
Question: Who will be racing?
Answer: As well as the best British Pro Supercross riders there will also be a host of international star riders including riders from the US, Canada, France, South Africa, Spain and Denmark who are all champions in their own right including a former World Supercross champion as well as many national champions.

Question: Will there be any kids competing?
Answer: Yes, there will be little guys and girls from six-years upwards racing in a number of different classes.
Question: What else will be happening at the event?
Answer: As well as the racing there will be a troop of dancing girls, special lighting effects plus the very popular no holds barred head-to-head sprint races hosted by renowned announcer, Jack Burnicle.
Question: Should I bring my own food?
Answer: The arena people might not like that, the Sheffield Arena has great food and drinks available.
Question: How will I know which race is next and who is in it?
Answer: Rider names and numbers as well as an order of events will be listed in the event program available at the Arena. In addition, there will be expert and insightful commentary by Jack Burnicle and Tony Lane.
Question: Can I get autographs from the stars and is there an extra charge to go in the pits?
Answer: Yes you can get autographs from the star riders and no there's no extra charge. The pits are open to any one with an evening ticket before you redeem your evening tickets at the door.
