Colunists

ADAM Greener (18) is moving up in class to compete in the Yorkshire centre Clubman Championship, with help from his employer Colin Appleyard Motorcycles, in 2009. Appies is supplying him with a brand new Montesa 4RT plus a complete set of clothing and kit. Adam, who lives in Moortown, Leeds and is a member of the West Leeds Club, has been trials riding for four years and was last year's A class champion. Over the next few weeks Adam (pictured above) will be practising hard on his new bike to get up to speed with the demands of adult trials. His ultimate ambition is to go on and eventually take the Clubman Championship before moving up to Expert Class. In the meantime he is more than happy combining his love of trials riding with his job as a Service Advisor at Colin Appleyard's Leeds dealership.
Colin Appleyard's General Manager Kevin Feeny commented: As a company Colin Appleyard has a policy of encouraging youngsters to develop their talent and skills. We see sponsoring Adam and other up-and-coming young riders as an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to off-road.
Adam added: A brand new Montesa is a great way to start the next phase of my trials career. I will do my utmost to justify the company's confidence in me.
