W-Tech help for Mitchell

JOHN Mitchell was nearly left without a machine for Le Touquet when sickness hit the ATV Workshop and they couldn't get his usual Yamaha prepped to the right standard in time for the French classic. W-Tec came up with the offer of a machine for the race and pulled all the stops out to prepare it for John, who repaid them with a fine eighth place overall and second in the single-rider category.
He was actually running third in the race when his chain snapped and he received a helping hand from old rival Paul Winrow and Joe Maessen to push the
W-Tec back to the pits to fit a replacement chain.
