BRAD Anderson, on his Pioneer Yamaha, took his first career heat win at round three of the 2007 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship at Lyng, Norfolk, on Sunday and with it the overall victory in the MX1 class from Billy Mackenzie and James Noble, another career first for the popular north east rider.

But for every winner there is a loser, and at Lyng it was series leader and defending MX1 champion, CAS Honda's Ken De Dycker.
The Belgian actually won the opening MX1 moto, but was penalised a minute when his bike failed a post-race noise test and it didn't get much better in the second race as a rock took off his rear brake hose mid-race, forcing an early trip back to the paddock.
In the MX2 class, the on-form Gareth Swanepoel, on his 250F Molson Kawasaki, was the man on a mission as he took two convincing wins, the first double win in the class this season, passing a cautious Tommy Searle for the win in both races.
