Round three of the BSMA GT Cup was held at Wroxton, nr Oxford with the track in tip-top condition contributing to some great racing in all classes.

Racing started with the MX1 riders, Phil Mercer showing he still has the appetite for top racing as he took a gate to flag win in race one with Aaron Jenner wheel-to-wheel  to the finish.

Carl Jones, back after injury, was impressive and up with the leaders in every race but was not fit enough to hang on.

Mark Young improved throughout the weekend after a poor first race with a superb race four win with George Purchase pressing Young throughout  the race to break Mercer's dominance of the weekend.

Mercer took top spot with three wins, ahead of a consistent Aaron Jenner with Mark Young in third.

With Scott Elderfield in attendance the expected battle between him and BSMA star Seb Osborne in MX2 did not disappoint.
Osborne, always quick out of the gate, was eventually caught by Elderfield with Ricky Lethaby in third.

Races two and three saw the top two riders chasing hard but small mistakes allowed Elderfield to take the wins.
Alan Pearce, on a 125, made both these riders work hard for their points, holeshoting two races.

The final race was the most eventful with Osborne away on his own, with more than 20 minutes gone and 20 seconds in front the bike stalled and the engine would not fire up giving Elderfield the win and a lucky maximum.

Ricky Lethaby claimed second overall ahead of Ryan Williams and Chuck Davies.
