CCM Racing's 2009 official factory motocross team broke cover as a complete unit for the first time last Friday at the Dirt Bike Show. The all-British squad revealed its full personnel line up and its new colours for next season. The three-rider team of Tom Church, Ray Rowson and Jason Dougan, who will all compete in the MX1 class both at domestic and World levels, were joined by their respective mechanics and other technical staff. CCM's management were also present in full force, with Gary Harthern – Managing Director, David Thorpe – Sporting Director and Austin Clews – Technical Director all taking part in the photo call before speaking about their goals for next year.
All three riders will be supplied with identical red, white and blue machinery that will be hand-built at the famous Bolton factory before being handed over to the race team at its new Southern based workshop facility. Harthern explained that Dougan will run under the Phoenix Tool banner at Maxxis events, but will join his other two team-mates under the factory awning for his Grand Prix campaign.
The visit to Stoneleigh was a welcomed respite for CCM's new trio who have recently begun their winter training programme at Thorpe's formidable boot camp.
