While it was Red Bull KTMs Ryan Dungey who won last weekends St Louis supercross he wasnt the only 450 class rider to have reason to celebrate.

Over in the Monster Energy/360fly/Chaparral Yamaha camp, 34-year-old Australian Chad Reed marked up his 200th AMA Supercross start some 14 years after making his initial appearance at Anaheim way back in 2002.

Since then Reed has won two AMA Supercross titles (2004 and 2008) and 44 Main Event victories which places him fourth in the all-time win list behind Jeremy McGrath, James Stewart and Ricky Carmichael.

Despite notching up such a massive amount of starts Reed doesn't top that list either as both Mike LaRocco and Kevin Windham went way past the 200 mark.

As things stand Reed will have to race for another season-and-a-half to knock LaRocco off the top spot (that's 227 starts) which is fine with Chad as he's currently in negotiations to extend his

factory Yamaha contract for a further two years...
