At one of his most favoured UK tracks Irish MX legend, Gordon Crockard, will ride in place of injured Ray Rowson this weekend.

Indicted into the Maxxis Henderson LPE Kawasaki team at short notice, multiple race-winner Crockard is looking forward to the MX double header at Hawkstone in the Red Bull Pro Nationals and the prospect of also riding at the Langrish Maxxis British Championship round.

Having completed a whole season in MX1 on the Kawasaki KX450F in 2010, the team hopes that the 'Crockstar' already has his eye in and will return with a podium chasing performance on the Kawasaki Motors UK official entry in the class.

As Gordon says: "It's nice to be back on a four-stroke KX and I know Steve James at LPE well. He's been good to me in the past and the bike looks mint, so it's going to be great to be green again.

For James, team principle of the Maxxis Henderson Kawasaki squad, it is some comfort after the news of Rowson's injury and he thinks it will give the team a boost: "The mechanics, and all other members of the team have something to focus on, which is great.

"We'll give Gordon the best tools possible to chase for success and I know ray is wishing him all the best in his absence.”
