AN ACTION-packed summer awaits for British freestyle fans with a crammed schedule of events planned. It all kicks off with the third running of Future West's Airwar series at Sheffield Arena on May 17. Canadian Jeff Fehr headlines the event along with the UK's very own Jamie Squibb who must start as pre-event favourite to take the win.Unfortunately, Airwar 3 won't deliver the advertised showdown of UK talent as Chris Brock is out with a broken scaphoid and Gary Taylor is booked to jump in Germany on the same date. Get the latest Airwar news at www.futurewest.co.uk.The next event is the biggest of them all. The IFMXF bring the best FMX stars from all around the world to Salzburg, Austria, on June 14/15 for the Walkman World Cup. The event will take over the Salzburg Stadion - which holds a massive 18,000 spectators. The stadium usually boasts a football pitch but the IFMXF crew will ship in enough dirt to cover the grass and build four separate landing ramps. A selection of six steel ramps will be set at varying lengths - up to 30m - and angles allowing the whole course to be used in full.A massive line-up of riders includes Chris Brock, Gary Taylor, Ronnie Renner, Derek Burlew, Oystein Kjorstad, Busty Wolter and Fabian Bauersachs. Dayne Kinnaird, Chuck Carothers and Jono Porter are all expected to agree terms soon. This has to be the Euro-FMX event of the year and tickets can be bought from www.austria-salzburg.at or you can get more information on the event from www.ifmxf.com.If you can't make it to Austria that weekend the Evil III - minus Brock but with a surprise guest rider - will be doing a FREE demo at Grendon Lakes, Northampton, alongside the FREE to enter Live-2-Ride pro series wakeboarding event. The IFMXF are also bringing their Pro Tour to England this summer as part of the NASS events. The first NASS at Peterborough Showground on July 4-6 will be the British pre-qualification event for the IFMXF international round at the Bath and West Showground NASS on July 18-20. This will be a great chance to see the UK's best go head-to-head against Europe's finest. For the latest NASS news check out www.national-adventuresports.comThe final major FMX event of the summer is the Extreme Air Jam to be held at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on August 23. Riders are still to be confirmed but we'll keep you bang up-to-date with developments over the next few months. Tickets are on sale at www.ticketmaster.ie for all those FMX early birds.
