Hotshot Pocock’s on a roll again

Mel Pocock was on a high again at the weekend, contesting the third round of the European MX2series, a supporting attraction to the Russian GP.

Pocock had already triumphed on Saturday evening, after a hard charge and recovery from a crash to claim the race win.

First on the timetable on Sunday morning was the second race of 25 minutes plus two laps for the European contenders.

The Brit grabbed the holeshot and disappeared with the lead at the second time of asking. His fifth and sixth moto victories in succession continue his 100% record and mean he now has a 26 point advantage in the standings ahead of Denmark's Stefan Kjer Olsen.

Olson climbed the podium in second spot after two runner-up rides, while Holland's Mike Kras bagged a brace of thirds.
