Motocross

THE rivalry between Christian Iddon and Matt Winstanley to be Britain's top Supermoto rider continued over rounds two and three of the British Supermoto Championship staged by the ACU and AMCA at an unusually sunny and dry Rowrah circuit in Cumbria recently.

Even though the pair ride in different classes – which contest the same races – any racer knows, it's being first over the finish line that's important.
But this weekend saw a new name challenging the fast duo of riders as Keith Farmer has found some new pace and is not only challenging for race wins, but is getting them too!

SATURDAY - ROUND 2
CONSISTENCY in the SM1 class gave Lee Jones the overall as race one and two winner Winstanley picked up a rear wheel puncture in the third and last outing of Saturday.
This dropped Winstanley down to third overall, as the smooth style of Ady Smith netted second, with a second, a third and a fourth, slotting in between Jones and Winstanley.
Chris Hodgson who won the third and final race of the day claimed fourth overall, ahead of James Addy.
In the SM2 class, Iddon claimed two wins out of three, but in his second moto of the day he had a spectacular crash while trying to work out a way to pass Farmer and Winstanley. His bike bent and twisted he limped home still in second, handing the class win to Farmer.

SUNDAY - ROUND 3
SUNDAY was a brighter, sunnier day, but the racing was just as fast a furious.
Once again, though there weren't in the same classes, most of the action was again between Iddon and Winstanley.
In the SM1 class Winstanley took three straight wins with James Addy and Ady Smith second and third overall with Chris Hodgson slipped to fourth after a disastrous second race.
