SPAIN kept their 100 per cent winning record in the Indoor Trial des Nations with a crushing victory over their British and Japanese opposition as the event was staged, for the second year in succession, in Malaga last weekend.

The Spanish team was led by World Indoor champ Adam Raga who was ably assisted by former champ Albert Cabestany and hot prospect Toni Bou.

Spain are unbeaten in the Indoor des Nations with their record standing at five from five and judging from the spanking dished out in Malaga no-one is going to get near for a while yet. The final score of Spain 13, GB 65 and Japan 85 says it all.
Of course, everything was in the Spanish squad's favour with not only a home draw but home sections as well with all the set-piece sponsored hazards as used in virtually all the Spanish Indoor events.
The British squad comprised Dougie Lampkin on the Repsol Montesa 4RT, Graham Jarvis riding a box-standard Sherco and James Dabill, who had his TTT Beta at his disposal, while the Japanese relied heavily on Takahisa Fujinami who had the inexperienced, Indoor-wise, duo of Tsuyoshi Ogawa and Fumitaka Nozaki in an all four-stroke squad as Fuji and Ogawa were 4RT mounted while Nozaki turned out on the SY250F Scorpa.
