JORDAN Rose, riding his Albion KTM, took full advantage of Brad Anderson's recurring electrical problems to take the overall victory in the Four-stroke class at round three of the CCM-backed British MMX Championship at the Woodbridge club's Blaxhall circuit, in Suffolk, on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Molson Kawasaki's Ray Rowson continuedhis dominance of the PAR Homes supported Under-21 championship withanother double victory, while a rejuvenated John Mitchell took his ATVWorld Yamaha to two great wins in round two of the British Quadchampionships.

The hard-working members of the Woodbridge clubhad put a lot of work into their sandy track over the winter, reversingthe direction of the track, and it was looking its best with clubmembers working well into the night on Saturday putting down loads ofwater to hold off the dreaded dust.

FOUR-STROKE...

THE fast-starting John May got his Meredith Suzukiinto the first turn in front of Anderson and Rose in the openingFour-stroke heat but by the time they had reached turn three Andersonwas into the lead and Rose was all over the back of May.

By the end of lap three, Anderson and Rose hadalready opened up a sizable lead over the rest of the pack, headed upby PAR Honda's Neville Bradshaw, with May holding off the attentions oflocal rider Sydney Bales, Mark Hucklebridge and another local, AstonBird.

It all went wrong again for Anderson at about thehalfway stage when, with a comfortable lead over Rose, his bike came toa halt and had to be pushed back to the paddock.

A dejected Anderson said after the race; ''It'sthe same problem with the electrics on the bike. We just keep blowingthe stator. We have tried new ones, stronger ones, and old ones offlast year's bikes. We have even had one on a test bed running hot andthey all seem OK till we use them in a race, then they just go. I havea lot of catching up to do now.''

This left Rose way out in front as the impressiveBales passed Bradshaw and May to take second, while behind them 250FSwift Suzuki-mounted Sean Hamblin, out for some extra track time on aGP-off weekend, was cutting his way through the pack on his way to thefront after being out gunned up the strait straight and ending thefirst lap in 19th place.
