THE inevitable finally happened on Saturday night as Kawasaki's James Stewart turned his incredible speed into an AMA Supercross title after taking another runaway win, his 12th of the season, over Honda duo Davi Millsaps and Kevin Windham at the penultimate round of the 2007 series at Q West Field, Seattle.
After two seasons of mixing blinding outrightspeed with hefty crashes and misfortune, Stewart put all the piecestogether this year, dominating the series from the off, and the doublewhammy of the AMA and FIM World supercross titles was his just rewardfor another dominant display on the night. You suspect that it is justthe first of many in the premier class too.
Dry weather greeted the circus to Seattle for thefirst time and adding to the night was the return of the west coastLites class for it's final race before the big East/ West shootout inLas Vegas this Saturday night.
Unsurprisingly it was the already crowned classchampion Ryan Villopoto who dominated once again, in front of his homestate crowd, to take the win from series runner-up Jason Lawrence andhis fellow Washington state resident Josh Hill.
